About

From busking in London to Singapore’s stages, screens and charts.

In 2017, Singapore’s bars weren’t interested. One turned him away three times. So Daniel took his guitar to London and busked its streets for three months, without an amp, learning song after song until he knew over a thousand. He came home and became a regular at the bar that had said no.

Then came his own songs. greener grass (2018) and bluer skies (2019) put him on Singapore’s charts with a #6 debut on the Top 50, and bluer skies has since passed a million streams. Love Is Bold, from the Starting Again EP, soundtracked over 350,000 TikTok videos.

On stage he’s a walking jukebox, solo with live looping or with his five piece band One Mic Stand, at residencies, festivals, Chingay and the Esplanade countdown. In 2023 he played 260 shows, and in 2025 he opened for Boyce Avenue.

Off stage he writes and produces for other artists, hosts for CNA, and makes some of Singapore’s most shared comedy sketches. He did all of it while finishing a degree in Business Management.
